Hotel Little Havana/ Cigar Bar Guest Policies

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our hotel policies that would not only make your experience with us more enjoyable but also allow us to better serve you in the future. Please respect these polices.

  1. Absolutely NO DRUGS of any kind permitted on premise: under no circumstances will the use of illegal substances be tolerated here at the hotel. For obvious reasons. They are illegal and you will be kindly ( or nasty depending on the circumstances ) asked to leave the premise.
  2. Tipping/Propina: Due to the recent issues regarding tipping we wanted to make you aware of a few certain points regarding this:

    a. Tips are appreciated here but also keep in mind that although it is appreciated it is not a mandatory thing!!! and any aggressive behavior regarding the extortion of tipping will not be tolerated. if you experience any kind of aggressive behavior regarding tipping or your experience here at the hotel is not one that you are reasonably happy with, please, or better yet "Por Favor" bring this up to the attention at the front desk and allow us the opportunity to remedy this. Only thru feedback from our guests can we keep evolving. If you feel more comfortable you can call directly 011-506-2257-8624 and leave a detailed message of what happened with the name of the person or you can write a review positive or negative and email us at reservations@hotellittlehavana.com  PLEASE NOTE: we will respond to people on a individual personal basis, not on any public internet forum.

    b. keep in mind tipping or the spanish translation "propina" does not mean the same here culturally as it does in the U.S. Tipping as we know it, is usually associated with a service well done like in most tourist service industries, ex; hotels, valets parking etc. ( although you are seeing more unusual places begin to adopt to this.. have ever seen a tip cup in places like Star bucks, dunkin dougnuts, etc) people here do not have the same association with that word and to them it just means "money", they do not truly understand it is offensive to ask for a tip. Key point is when this happens, please do not get upset.. "its all good"  just please bring it to our attention.

    c. tipping is a very personal thing and will vary depending on your experience and we do NOT have any recommendations with this. The only thing that we are sure of is " never...... ever.... tip for bad service".
  3. We work very hard to try and maintain a quality group here at the hotel that provides a consistant and pleasant experience to our guests at very reasonable price points. This is NOT easy, and as you can imagine the work involved it is a constant challenge but one that we are committed to. please respect our policy with regards to employees seeing clients outside the hotel. Everyone that works here signs an agreement to this. Failure to comply results in immediate termination. This just makes our job so much harder since we all know good people are hard to find.
  4. There have been many comments made insinuating we do not care for our CRT clients. this is far from being true, what is true is that the internal processes related to doing business in this country is a grey area and we cannot "micro manage" peoples experiences here... again let me repeat.. we cannot legally micromanage your experience here.  the only thing that can conrol is whether or not we allow people to continue doing business here and it is from this point of reference we need to adhere to.
Respectfully,
The Team at HLH

PS. with the new ZB expansion almost completed you will see a whole new ZB and hope to have you visit us again in the future. thank you again for your patronage.. because we really do appreciate it.
